Brand new avengers trailer!

Here is the brand new trailer for the Avengers film. It gives a very different look to the film and also shows more footage of one of my favrioute superheroes The Hulk. This trailer was released with the super bowl and has a very funny ending. Enjoy.

New year, new start

So its a brand new year and i think that its time that i get back in to the world of bloging again. i had to stop the first time to make time to write my dissertation as im still a student but hey im back now and ready to get back in to the film world.

There are a lot of really good looking films that are set to come out over the next year. i would just like to tell you about the ones that im most excited about first and and others i will get to, i promise.

The first film is a film that im really excited about watching. Batman: the dark knight rises is set to hit our screens July ( more info on the date when it gets a bit closer as it might change). In the new edition of the trilogy our vigilante in black will be joined by Catwomen played by the lovely Anne Hathaway (devil wears prada). I reckon that with the success of the others it will be yet another epic Batman storyline and can not wait for its release.

The second film that im really excited about is the Avengers film. The Avengers film will be bringing together all of Marvels latest hits. Iron man, Cap and thor will be joined by Hawkeye who we first saw in Thor and the Black widow from Iron man. we will also see the welcome return of the Hulk although i am a bit disappointed that its not Edward Norton any more but hey its not going to but to much of a dapper on the film.

I will be posting more on these films when i get more info about them and the trailer for the Dark Knight rises will be posted up soon.

Patty Jenkins to direct Thor 2

Thor is set to make a thunderous return in 2013 in Thor 2 according to Marvel studios president Kevin Feige "The second chapter will literally take Thor to other worlds." The director of the squeal is non-other than  Patty Jenkins who directed "Monster" back in 2003.

If you cant wait this long to see your favourite hammer swinging superhero then you can always catch his role in the Avengers film set to come out in may 2012

Film Review "Thor"

The God of thunder Thor

Thor is a film that stars the Norse god of thunder Thor played by Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek). Thor starts of in the mythological realm of Asgard where Thor is about to be crowned the successor to the throne of Asgard. The celebrations are soon cut short when the frost giants show up to steal an ancient weapon known as the casket of winters. Thor becomes outraged at the Frost giants bold action and disobeying orders he and a small group of Asgardians go to the realm of the frost giants and attack. The battle isn’t going very well and just all hope is lost Odin (Anthony Hopkins, Silence of the Lambs) shows up and brings them back. Upon their return Odin outcasts his son Thor to earth where he meets women called Jane foster (Natalie Portman, Black Sawn). The film then follows Thor on earth trying to get his powers back and to learn the lesson that his father sent him to earth to learn. He then must use the reclaimed power to retake the realm of Asgard back from his troublesome brother Loki can gain complete control.

If you’ve ever watched Thor the cartoon or read the books then you know that the way he speaks is a bit confusing for example “Waves are but water. Wind but air. And though lighting be fire ... yet it must answer thunders call”. But this film has Thor speaking English and I’ve got to say to sounds good. The film has got to be one of the finest Marvel films the Marvel Studios has brought out in awhile. Chris hasn’t been in much and made his major debut in Star trek back in 2009 and has shot to fame from there and is now set to play Thor again in the upcoming Marvel studios newest project The Avengers and also Thor 2

The film has a mix of action, romance and loyalty and is a film that the whole family can enjoy. The film also has a short after credit glimpse of what is set to happen in the Avengers film.
